Here are Positive Pet Training we offer science based, force-free, ethical training for you and your pets. All our training is overseen by our veterinary behaviourist Dr Katie Friel-Russell BVSc MAPDT PGDip CCAB MRCVS.

We only use the most up to date, humane, effective methods ensuring the highest welfare levels for pets as well as making great progress.

We can’t wait to train with you

We’re based in Staffordshire. Our brand new state of the art facilities are under construction at the moment but we will update everyone as soon as they are open!
In the meantime we can train in your own home (travel charges apply) or at a secure training field near Abbots Bromley.

Yes! Our veterinary behaviourist Dr Katie Friel-Russell works to help treat cat behaviour problems.

To train with us please complete our contact form then you can purchase group classes from our website. For individual training and behaviour consults please email us before booking.

Yes, we use food in training, as well as play. We don’t use any pain or fear in our training, ever.

One of the biggest concerns we have from people is when they think their dog isn’t a “foodie”. But we can work with you and your dog to understand what drives them so that we can reinforce behaviours and teach the things we need to.

Yes! We work with all ages, breeds and training/behaviour issues. We can help you to understand what your dog is currently learning and how to teach them what you’d like them to learn instead.

We have consults available 7 days a week but there is a surcharge for weekend/evenings.
